Factors associated with recurrent endometriomas after surgical excision

Abstract Background Endometriosis affects women in reproductive age and causes a great impact on their lives. When affecting the ovary, excision represents main management option. However, recurrence challenging situation for patients physicians. This study aimed to determine factors contributing endometriomas after surgical excision. Results was quasi-experimental recruiting 60 with ovarian endometrioma. The mean 30.33 ± 7.95 years. parity 1.27 0.69. rate 11/60 (18.3%) follow-up period of 22.62 4.96 months. None patients’ characteristics or endometriosis-related were significant cyst (age, parity, history infertility, preoperative endometrioma diameter, AFC, AMH, degree pelvic pain, dysmenorrhea, dyspareunia, tenderness, induration) ( p value > 0.05). Conclusion patient’s related did not predict its recurrence.
